Roof Top Tent
The newest tent by Guana Equipment is their biggest one: The Wanaka 72" setup.
This roof top tent has a sleeping footprint of 72" x 95", comfortably fitting 4 people, making it the ideal rooftop tent for the whole family.
The annex room of the Wanaka 72" is one of their best features. This is an XL annex, the largest in the market, with a footprint of 100" x 100", with YKK zippers, a 600D waterproof ripstop polyester oxford canvas with taped seams and PU coating, a removable floor, and 3 awning doors.
The 3 large entrance doors are all covered by see-through-mesh, and an additional canvas cover that can become an awning. There is also an annex door that opens up inside of it towards your vehicle, so you can access your car from the annex. That door also has see-through-mesh.
Basically, the three entrance doors open up to become three awnings (poles are included), increasing the coverage area for your camping setup! Shade for the whole family.
Also, given how big the annex is, not only does it comfortably fit two adults, but you may even put in a table to eat protected from the elements.
Other Wanaka roof top tent features include:
The toughness of this rooftop tent is out of question. Built with 1" thick aluminum poles, it'll withstand even the toughest of winds.
The canvas body of the car top tent is made of 600D waterproof ripstop polyester oxford canvas with taped seams and PU coating, making it a 4-season roof top tent.
The Wanaka 72" comes with YKK zippers (the highest quality) for both the RTT and the annex. The base is made of a thick diamond plate aluminum, and to top it all up, a 3" thick high-density foam mattress.

Please inspect your package for damage prior to signing for it.
Off Road Tents takes pride in its products and packaging. Every tent that we ship out is properly classified, packaged, marked and labeled. Also each package is in the proper condition for transportation according to applicable regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation and/or international agencies.
Once your order is signed for at the delivery point, the package becomes your property and thus, our liability ends as far as shipping damage is concerned. Help protect yourself from loss or damage, or an uncomfortably painful claims process by:
1. Before Signing for your order, inspect the box or boxes for freight loss or damage. Red flags are punctures or any sign of forklift damage.
2. If any of the product(s) appear to be damaged or crushed do not accept delivery. Refuse the shipment and it will be sent back for processing.
3. It is extremely important that you inspect the box and tent (in case the item purchased is a tent) for damage BEFORE you sign to receive the tent. Please take photos of the box on the pallet exactly as it arrives.
Please note, the driver will not help with damage inspection. IF you even suspect there could be damage to your item, please take pictures of the damage and REFUSE the delivery. That way the carrier will send it back to us and we'll process a new shipment.
4. Get a copy of the signed delivery receipt that shows the freight loss or damage notation, and send it to us: email@example.com
5. Contact Off Road Tents immediately at 1.844.200.3979
If you accept a damaged delivery, and/or there is freight loss and/or the damage is not noted at the time of delivery, Off Road Tents cannot be held liable for any replacement costs related to the shipment. Protect yourself from this by examining before you sign. Refusing delivery when damaged helps Off Road Tents win the case against the carrier, and replacing your item.

Off Road Tents is a great company to work with. Before purchasing our Guana tent and awning, they answered a number of questions that helped narrow our search down. Everything showed up in a timely fashion and in good condition. would definitely work with them again in the future.
First dry run shown in photo.
Great design, very much like every other fold out soft shell RTT, but all the details have been thought out and well executed. It has large screened windows and "skylights" for great cross ventilation. A comfy 3" pad. A large rainfly with vinyl windows that's a bit painful to install, but covers well. I went with the largest version, 72" of this tent...and honestly it's a bit overkill. It takes up almost the full 90" of my FJ roof rack! But opened up, it's like having a queen sized bed with a sunroof - plenty of room for a couple people, dogs, and gear.
Drawbacks: Only a couple things I've found I dislike about this tent so far. Granted, I've only had it for two weeks and the testing/shakedown has been in the driveway so far. #1 there were aluminum shavings all over the rack - under the mat, in every hole, all over. #2 the tan color faded already! In a couple days of Colorado sun it's clear where the sun has and hasn't touched the tent! Even where the ribbons/rings are hanging, there are clear shadows where they blocked the sun. #3 and this is common with all softshell RTT - it's just slow and tedious to setup...the tradeoff being a great amount of space and typically costing less than a hardshell.
Overall I'm happy with this RTT. If I can, I'll report back in a year after trying it out in all 4 seasons.
If you are looking for a fantastic tent, consider this one. It rides amazing on my Tacoma, unfolds in 10 minutes or less and can be packed back up in about the same amount of time. The toughest part is justifying having to leave again once it is set up, it is that comfortable. Completely warm and dry, even in heavy thunderstorms. An amazing product, top quality customer service and I couldn't be happier.
