Presenting one of the most expensive roof top tents that TentBox has to offer, the TentBox Cargo 2.0, a clamshell hard shell roof top tent that is designed to sleep up to 2 adults comfortably all year round! It is the easiest TentBox to open as it only takes you about 30 seconds to fully deploy the tents thanks to its gas-operated struts. And while it is one of their least affordable tents, it does come with tons of great features that will put other RTTs out there to shame.

Unlike other TentBox models, this one features a clamshell opening design that sadly doesn't provide a 360-degree view. However, it can be set up in just 30 seconds thanks to the gas-operated struts on each side. This is the most rugged rooftop tent TentBox offers, capable of withstanding harsh conditions while keeping you safe from the elements on your adventures.
The TentBox Cargo 2.0 offers enough interior space to store the mattress, sleeping bags, blankets, and pillows when closed, so your bed is ready as soon as you open it. With its telescopic ladder extending up to 2.6 meters, you can easily access the tent from either side of your vehicle or the rear door. The ladder conveniently stores in the included travel pouch, which fits in the back of your car or inside the closed tent.
One of the highlights of the TentBox Cargo, aside from its ample storage space, is the integrated floor vents that ensure proper airflow and keep the interior condensation-free. Numerous mesh-covered windows provide great views, and a PVC skyview window allows for stargazing at night. The interior is well-insulated, keeping you warm even in the coldest months.
The shell of this clamshell rooftop tent is constructed from steel-reinforced honeycomb aluminum plate. It’s incredibly durable and allows you to mount additional crossbars for attaching cargo boxes or other accessories. The fabric is made from 280gsm rip-stop polyester canvas with a C6 DWR water-repellent coating and a 3000mm hydrostatic head rating, ensuring it can handle any environment and keep you dry.
Despite being one of the most rugged rooftop tents from TentBox, it has a lightweight construction, weighing only 72kg (159lbs), so it won't overly burden your vehicle.
Key Features:
30 Second Setup: The Cargo is the fastest and easiest TentBox to open and close. The gas struts do most of the work, and there is an elastic cord to help tuck the fabric inside. The porch poles live in a zip-bag under the mattress.
Accessory Rails: The cargo features accessory rails all around the outside edges. You can use these to mount official TentBox accessories, such as roof bars and awnings, or custom accessories such as solar panels.
Skylight: A PVC window on the porch means you can now watch the stars at night. A handy additional window above the door allows you to look out, whilst maintaining privacy.
Lots Of Storage: There is a large set of roof pockets, with a net behind them for jackets. In addition, you'll find two hanging side pockets and a sewn-in zip bag under the mattress for porch poles.

Dual Layer Mattress: The 6cm foam mattress has two layers, a firmer base and a softer top layer. The cover is waterproof and wipeable. The additional mesh mat underneath helps with airflow, but also provides added comfort.
