Aluminess redesigned this bumper from the ground up for the 2020 and newer Ford Transit, and the result transforms a delivery van into something built for the wild. Bold lines, an aggressive stance, and square light openings that give the front end real presence instead of the apologetic plastic the factory sends it out with. But the looks are secondary. This is a winch bumper, and it is built to take a hit.
Construction is 6061 and 5052 aluminum, which delivers off-road durability without the weight penalty of steel. That matters on a Transit, where every pound you hang off the front axle costs you fuel economy and handling. Inside the aluminum structure sits a reinforced steel winch cradle, because a winch under real recovery load needs steel behind it. The whole thing is finished in a heavy-duty textured black powder coat that resists corrosion, chips, and trail abuse. Tow hooks are integrated, and it accepts off-road lights, shackles, and D-rings straight out of the box.
Aluminum Where It Counts, Steel Where It Matters
Building the bumper structure from 6061 and 5052 aluminum saves serious weight over a steel bumper, and on a front-heavy van that translates directly into better fuel economy and handling that does not feel nose-dived. But aluminum alone is the wrong answer for winching, so Aluminess integrates a reinforced steel winch cradle into the design. Under real recovery stress, the loads go into steel. You get the weight savings without the compromise where it would actually hurt you.
Bull Bar and Brush Guard Protection
The full brush guard configuration runs a 2 inch center guard (2.375" outside diameter) flanked by 1.5 inch outer guards (1.9" OD). That is substantial tube, sized for animal strikes and brush contact on rural highways and forest roads rather than for looks. The center guard protects the grille and radiator directly, while the outer guards shield the headlights and front corners. If you drive at dawn or dusk anywhere with deer, elk, or cattle on the road, this is the configuration that earns its money the first time you need it.

With Bull Bar
The bumper plus the center bull bar. Protects the grille and radiator, keeps a cleaner and more open look at the front end, and adds less weight. The right pick if you want winch capability and frontal protection without the full cage appearance.
With Bull Bar and Brush Guards
Adds the 1.5 inch outer guards flanking the center bar, extending protection out over the headlights and front corners. The more aggressive look and the more complete protection. Choose this if you regularly drive rural highways at dawn or dusk, or run tight brushy trails.
Your Factory Tech Keeps Working
Modern Transits carry a lot of driver assistance hardware in the front end, and plenty of aftermarket bumpers force you to give some of it up. This one does not. It is designed to stay fully compatible with your Transit's front camera, parking sensors, and collision assist. Your tech keeps functioning and your safety systems stay live.
One note: the parking sensor relocation kit is sold separately. If your van has front parking sensors, budget for that kit alongside the bumper.
Winch Compatibility
The bumper works with most leading winch brands. Because winch manufacturers change their designs frequently, solenoid relocation is occasionally required depending on which winch you run. If you have already picked a winch, call us and we will tell you whether relocation applies to your model.
Hitch Receiver
A front receiver hitch can be added, sold separately. Note that the standard forklift mount is not compatible with this bumper, so if you want a front hitch you need the universal front receiver hitch option rather than the forklift mount version.
