There are so many features that make this roof rack so great, so first let's start with its construction. This Prinsu Lexus GX470 roof rack is a full-length rack and it has 2 side rails that are constructed out of laser-cut 1/4" 5052 aluminum. The aluminum construction makes this roof rack weigh only 55lbs making it one of the lightest racks on the market.

Not only is it lightweight but also very sturdy and durable and can be used to carry heavier items such as roof top tents, kayaks, boards, bikes, etc, without any risk whatsoever. You can carry more items if you mount more crossbars but keep in mind that the static weight capacity of this roof rack is 500+ lbs.

Speaking of crossbars, they have constructed out of 2" x 1" aluminum extrusion and also feature T-Slot channels for mounting any accessories or even a variety of different mounts. This GX470 roof rack offers many different tie-down solutions as well as flexibility when adding a variety of accessories.

The side rails as well as the crossbars are black powder coated to prevent them from eroding in muddy environments. Another thing that you should know it that this Prinsu GX470 roof rack comes with 8 crossbars for cargo mounting as well as an additional 1 to mount a 1/8" aluminum wind deflector or even an LED light bar.

It does also includes a noise-reducing trim for better airflow and less noise while driving.

First of all, it means that the installation of the rack will take significantly less amount of time than it would if you would have to drill your vehicle in order to install it.

The second reason would be that when drilling out holes for the roof rack installation you are damaging your vehicle and not a lot of people like to do that, especially not with new models. But you are also creating potential leakage points. That means that there is a possibility that the water will leak inside your vehicle when it is raining outside.

How To Install Prinsu Lexus GX470 Roof Rack:

As this is a non drill roof rack it is pretty simple to install and very fast for that matter. All you need to do once you've assembled your rack is to line up the spacers with the already existing holes on the roof of your car and use the provided bolts to secure it in place.

You also need to mount the L-Brackets on the side rails of the roof rack and cut a portion of the weather stripping. Also, note that it is a smart idea to put a bit of silicone around the holes so that it weather tightens everything. You can see the detailed installation instruction below!
