This Dodge RAM roof rack carries 300 lbs dynamic and 700 lbs static on 1/4 inch aircraft-grade aluminum side panels with stainless steel hardware, at roughly 55 lbs. Bolt into the extrusion crossbars or strap gear directly to the side plates. The Crew Cab version is 64 inches long with 6 crossbars; the Mega Cab version is 74.5 inches with 7. Storage When the Bed Is Already Spoken For
This is the case the Diablo was made for. A fifth wheel hitch or a gooseneck setup takes the middle of the bed, a toolbox takes the front, and whatever is left gets filled by the job or the trip. On a truck this size, running out of space feels absurd, but it happens constantly.

How the Diablo Installs
Most PEAK racks bolt to factory hardpoints with no drilling. The RAM heavy duty cab does not offer them, so the Diablo mounts with eight 3/16 inch holes drilled into the cab roof, secured with rivets. A rivet tool is required.
Sherpa recommends professional installation, and we agree. Hole placement, rivet setting, and sealing all matter on a roof that needs to stay watertight for the working life of the truck. A good shop will have it done cleanly in a few hours. One Thing to Know About XM Radio

Either way it is the same RAM truck roof rack design. The Mega Cab's extra 10.5 inches of roof means an extra crossbar and more usable platform. Width, load rating, and profile height are identical on both.

Can I mount a rooftop tent on it?
Yes. 300 lbs dynamic covers the tent plus accessories while driving, and 700 lbs static covers the tent plus occupants once parked. A cab rack is a common choice on heavy duty trucks where the bed is occupied by a fifth wheel or a load. Longer tents will overhang the cab, so check dimensions against the 64 or 74.5 inch platform. Which fairing should I choose?
