Five built-in aluminum rafters and a pair of reinforced oversized hinges hold the full 270-degree arc rigid without any poles deployed. Pull it out, swing it open, and you have instant shelter. 280G Poly Cotton Rip-Stop. Heat Sealed Seams.
The cover is manufactured from 280G poly cotton rip-stop material with a PU-2000 UV rating on the travel cover. Heat sealed seams ensure you will not see any leaks through seam points regardless of how heavy the rain gets. Polycotton breathes better than full synthetic fabrics, reducing that clammy dripping feeling under the canopy during humid conditions. The fabric is durable enough for years of deploy-and-stow cycles and holds up to prolonged UV exposure without degrading.
Boxed Aluminum Frame Extrusions
The rafters are not round tubes. They are boxed aluminum extrusions, which resist bending and twisting better than round or oval profiles. This is the structural detail that allows the awning to be freestanding without sagging. No tools, no fiddling. The pivoting poles swing out from the awning frame, so they are already attached when you need them. Dedicated tie-down points on the awning secure the poles and help with water run-off during rain. When stowed, the poles tuck against the frame inside the travel cover.
Built-In 1000G PVC Travel Cover
The awning stows into a built-in 1000G PVC travel cover with a #10 heavy-duty zipper. This is not a separate bag you have to wrestle the awning into after every use. The cover is permanently attached to the awning and protects the fabric from dust, moisture, and road debris during transit. The closed dimensions are just 83" x 7" x 5", keeping the profile tight against your rack.
Heavy-Duty Velcro Straps & Tie Downs
Ballistic nylon tie downs with S-connects and buckles secure the awning arms to the vehicle during transit. Shock cord with retention keeps everything taut.
