While it's true that every vehicle comes equipped with its factory bumper, these often prove insufficient for enduring the rigors of challenging terrain. Backwoods 4Runner Front Bumper
Introducing the all-new hybrid front bumper model by Backwoods, skillfully crafted from a combination of steel and aluminum, and tailored to fit all 5th generation 4Runner models. Named the "Hi-Lite" bull bar, its nomenclature is derived from its high-clearance design and incredibly lightweight construction.
Traditional aftermarket front bumpers are typically crafted from either steel or aluminum, each with its own set of advantages and disadvantages. The innovative minds at Backwoods have ingeniously blended the strengths of both materials to create a hybrid bull bar that boasts the durability of a steel bar while remaining lightweight and resistant to corrosion like an aluminum one.
This 4Runner front bumper comprises a full aluminum shell, tipping the scales at 28 pounds, and a steel winch cradle weighing 55 pounds, resulting in a total weight of just 83 pounds. Speaking of winch compatibility, this bull bar can accommodate winches with a capacity of up to 12,000 pounds. Additionally, it is TRD skid plate compatible, offering extended frontal and undercarriage protection.
Installation is straightforward and can be accomplished by a single individual, but for those unfamiliar with front bumper installations, we recommend seeking professional assistance. This bull bar features two D-Ring shackle mounts, two square light cutouts designed to accommodate most aftermarket pods, a flat top platform for mounting light bars, and a high-clearance design, ideal for enhancing approach angles.

NOTE: We strongly recommend you run this bumper with our Connector Skid plate to provide a seamless flow of protection. Otherwise, your cooler lines and other components will be exposed to possible damage.
Washer Fluid Reservoir Note: our bumper is NOT compatible with the Rago Fabrication Aqua Tank. If you plan to relocate your windshield washer reservoir, we recommend the Snowbound Customs Aluminum Washer Fluid Relocation Reservoir.
***Most winches WILL fit this bumper with no issues, however if your winch height exceeds 10.1", you may have to relocate your solenoid. Specifically, on WARN ZEON winches, they are 10.5" tall and require relocation/modification.***
