Its wide and deep steps provide better grip, and the ladder attaches directly to the rack for a stable fit. Installation is straightforward: assemble the ladder on the ground, choose a suitable location on the Sprinter's side, and mark the holes for drilling. Once installed and tightened, the ladder is compatible with Mercedes Springer High Roof Vans in 144, 170, and 170 EXT lengths, made in 2014 or later.
Backwoods Sprinter DRIFTR Ladder Installation
Assemble the ladder loosely. Choose a suitable spot on the side of the van opposite the sliding door. Use a friend to help hold the ladder in place for a mock setup. Step back to find the most pleasing alignment and mark the mounting holes on the roof rack and underneath the van. Ensure the ladder is straight and aligned correctly. Drill into the DRIFTR rack and the van's pinch weld at the marked locations. Install bolts on the top and bottom of the ladder and adjust its position as needed. Tighten the 4 bolts on each side. Double-check all bolts for tightness, and you're done!
