Kakadu BlockOut XL 270 Awning

You probably already know how important a good awning can be on any camping an off-road trips. It provides shade for you and your buddies under which you can sit back and relax and protect yourself from the scorching sun. Kakadu designed the newest 270 awning on the overlanding market and this one is even bigger than their first 270 awning. This is the Kakadu BlockOut 270 Awning XL and it comes with some pretty great features so let's get to it!

Kakadu 270 Awning XL

The BlockOut 270 Awning XL offers an immense shaded area while remaining compact when packed. Constructed from heavy-duty 280gsm Ripstop® polycotton canvas with a 1500mm waterhead rating, this sturdy awning ensures durability and protection.

Kakadu's BlockOut technology effectively blocks up to 95% of light and reduces temperatures by up to 20 degrees, providing excellent defense against the harsh sun. With its unique 270-degree shape, the awning provides more than 225sqft of coverage, wrapping around the sides and rear of your vehicle. To extend the coverage or add privacy, you can effortlessly attach the included universal wall.

The awning is designed with lightweight U-channel alloy rafters featuring integrated poles, enabling a quick and easy setup and pack down process. For additional protection, an included roof panel can be slid into the last rafter and tied to your roof rack, safeguarding the back of your vehicle during adverse weather conditions. Premium mounting hardware is included, suitable for most roof rack configurations.

You can even get this 270 awning with additional walls that can provide even more shade and protection from harsh weather and turn your 270 BlockOut awning into an annex that can be used by other people as sleeping quarters or just as another place to store away extra gear.
