The Little Bear is the Sherpa PEAK Tundra roof rack for the 2007-2021 Double Cab. It spans 59 inches across the cab with 7 extrusion crossbars, carries 300 lbs dynamic and 600 lbs static, and weighs about 50 lbs.
As a Toyota Tundra roof rack it is built the PEAK way: 1/4 inch aircraft-grade aluminum side panels with stainless steel hardware. Bolt into any of the seven crossbars or strap gear directly to the side plates. The Little Bear mounts using rivet attachments that require drilling, so plan on a professional install. Black textured powder coat, black anodized crossbars, black oxide stainless hardware. Choose a Full Height wind fairing or a Half Height fairing sized for a single-row light bar. How the Little Bear Installs
Most PEAK racks mount to factory hardpoints with no drilling. The 2007-2021 Tundra roof does not offer them, so the Little Bear uses four rivet attachments instead, which means drilling into the cab roof and setting rivets.
This is the one thing that sets this 2nd gen Tundra roof rack apart from most PEAK racks. Sherpa recommends professional installation, and we agree. Rivet placement, sealing, and torque all matter on a roof that needs to stay watertight for the life of the truck. A good shop will have it done cleanly in a few hours. Once installed, the rivet mounts give you a permanent, secure base, and the rack itself can be taken off the mounts later if you need to.
This Is a Cab Rack
The Little Bear covers the cab roof and nothing else. It does not include a topper rack, and it does not replace one. Sherpa builds a separate topper rack for the Tundra if that is what you are after, and plenty of builds run both: gear over the cab, more over the bed.

Will it fit my Tundra?
If it is a 2007 through 2021 Double Cab, yes. This is a Tundra Double Cab roof rack specifically, so CrewMax trucks, which have a longer cab, are not compatible. Does it require drilling?

Can I mount a rooftop tent on it?
A lighter one, yes, but check the numbers. 300 lbs dynamic covers the tent plus accessories while driving, and 600 lbs static covers the tent plus occupants once parked. That 600 lb static figure is lower than most PEAK racks, so a heavy hardshell plus three people is worth calculating first. The 59 inch cab platform also means longer tents will overhang. Which fairing should I choose?
Choose Full Height if you are not running a light bar, since it deflects the most air for the quietest ride. Choose Half Height if you want a single-row light bar to sit flush with the fairing line. Both cost the same. If a light bar is anywhere in your plans, Half Height saves you buying a second fairing later.
How long does installation take?
A professional shop will typically handle it in a few hours, including drilling, setting the rivets, sealing, and assembling the rack.
