- SuperCrew cabs and the 2024 Ranger Raptor. SuperCab trucks have a different roof length and are not covered.
The Ranger is the truck that gets you most of the capability without most of the parking problems. The Redcloud is the Sherpa PEAK Ford Ranger roof rack built for it, covering 2019 through 2025 SuperCrew models and the 2024 Ranger Raptor.
This Ranger roof rack spans 59 inches across the cab with 6 extrusion crossbars and carries 300 lbs dynamic and 600 lbs static. At roughly 45 lbs it is one of the lightest racks Sherpa builds, which suits a mid-size truck where payload and handling both matter. Construction is 1/4 inch aircraft-grade aluminum side panels with stainless steel hardware. Bolt into the crossbars or strap gear directly to the side plates. The Redcloud mounts using rivet attachments that require drilling, so plan on a professional install. Black textured powder coat, black anodized crossbars, black oxide stainless hardware. Choose a Full Height wind fairing or a Half Height fairing sized for a single-row light bar. Manufactured in Colorado. Lifetime Warranty.
SuperCrew and Ranger Raptor
One rack, two trucks that share the same cab roof.
2019-2025 Ford Ranger SuperCrew
The four-door cab across the full model run. SuperCab trucks have a different roof length and are not covered by this rack.
2024 Ford Ranger Raptor
The Redcloud also works as a Ranger Raptor roof rack, since the Raptor shares the SuperCrew cab. Same rack, same install.
Forty-Five Pounds on a Mid-Size Truck
Choosing a roof rack for Ford Ranger builds usually comes down to weight as much as capacity. At roughly 45 lbs, the Redcloud is one of the lightest racks in the PEAK lineup. That is partly because a mid-size cab is shorter than a full-size one, but it matters more here than the number suggests.
A Ranger has meaningfully less payload than an F-150, and anything you put on the roof comes out of that budget. It also sits high enough that roof weight affects how the truck feels on off-camber trails. Keeping the rack itself light leaves more of the 300 lb dynamic rating for actual gear, rather than spending it on the rack.
How the Redcloud Installs
Most PEAK racks mount to factory hardpoints with no drilling. The Ranger cab roof does not offer them, so the Redcloud uses four rivet attachments instead, which means drilling into the cab roof and setting rivets.
Sherpa recommends professional installation, and we agree. Rivet placement, sealing, and torque all matter on a roof that needs to stay watertight for the life of the truck. A good shop will have it done cleanly in a few hours. If you are comfortable with rivnuts and sealing roof penetrations, the install guide covers every step.
Once installed, the rivet mounts give you a permanent, secure base, and the rack itself can be taken off the mounts later if you need to.
The PEAK Series
Industry leading premium roof rack systems. The PEAK series is the go-to for a premium aluminum roof rack. It is the line that Sherpa built its name on, and for years it has carried the gear of the most extreme adventurers. Sherpa believes in the constant evolution of their products, building the toughest systems on the market. From industry-leading alloys to uncompromising mounts, you will always Adventure with Confidence.
Crafted
Manufactured in Colorado with precision laser-cut 1/4" aluminum sideplates formed with CNC accuracy by Sherpa's team of professionals. They have created a very stout mounting structure, secured with stainless steel hardware, that will keep your gear where you need it. The 1/4 inch aircraft-grade aluminum is thicker than most competing racks, which is how a 45 lb rack still carries 600 lbs static.
Adaptable
Sherpa knows the importance of mounting all of your goodies on your rig. With the PEAK Series, you have the ability to mount just about anything, anywhere. With slots and holes all over the rack, plus Sherpa's line of accessories, you will never find yourself wishing you could mount something. For anyone shopping Ford Ranger accessories to build an overland setup, the cab rack is where the roof side of the build starts.
Durable
Strength is built into Sherpa's brand and the PEAK System is what they built their name on. Using the best in materials and hardware, you can beat on this system every weekend and trust it to show up to work on Monday. On a Ranger Raptor that is going to see whoops and desert washboard, that standard is the point. All backed by Sherpa's Lifetime Warranty.
Cab Rack, Bed Free
The Redcloud covers the cab, which leaves the bed entirely open for a bed rack, a tonneau, a canopy, or cargo. On a mid-size truck where space is tighter than on a full-size, that split matters.
A common Ranger build puts the rooftop tent on a bed rack and uses the cab rack for an awning, traction boards, lighting, and the gear you want out of the bed. Call us at 844-200-3979 and we will help you plan the combination.
Which Fairing Is Right for You?
Sherpa's full height fairing is built for people who do not want to put a light bar on their rack. The half height fairing is made so you can fit a single row light bar while keeping everything flush. Both cost the same, so this is purely a build decision.
Full Height Fairing
For people who do not want a light bar on their rack. The taller smooth face deflects the most air for the quietest ride.
Half Height Fairing
Shorter so a single-row light bar fits behind it and sits flush with the fairing line.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it fit my Ranger?
If it is a 2019 through 2025 SuperCrew, yes. It also fits the 2024 Ranger Raptor, which shares the SuperCrew cab. SuperCab trucks have a different roof length and are not compatible. Call us at 844-200-3979 with your year and cab style if you want confirmation before ordering.
Does it fit the Ranger Raptor?
Yes, for 2024 models. Because the Raptor uses the same SuperCrew cab, the Redcloud works as a Ranger Raptor roof rack with no changes to the part or the install. If you have a newer Raptor, call us at 844-200-3979 and we will confirm fitment for your year before you order.
Does it require drilling?
Yes. The Ranger cab roof does not have the factory hardpoints that allow a drill-free mount, so the Redcloud uses four rivet attachments that require drilling into the cab roof. Sherpa recommends professional installation, since rivet placement and sealing matter for keeping the roof watertight. The install guide above covers every step for anyone doing it themselves.
Can I mount a rooftop tent on it?
A lighter one, yes, but check the numbers. 300 lbs dynamic covers the tent plus accessories while driving, and 600 lbs static covers the tent plus occupants once parked. That 600 lb static figure is lower than most PEAK racks, so a heavy hardshell plus three adults is worth calculating first. The 59 inch cab platform also means longer tents will overhang. Many Ranger builds put the tent on a bed rack instead. Browse rooftop tents here.
Does it work with a bed rack?
Yes, and on a mid-size truck that is often the smarter build. The Redcloud covers the cab and leaves the bed completely free, so a bed rack can handle the heavy items like a rooftop tent while the cab rack carries an awning, boards, lighting, and anything you want out of the bed. Browse our bed racks here.
Which fairing should I choose?
Choose Full Height if you are not running a light bar, since it deflects the most air for the quietest ride. Choose Half Height if you want a single-row light bar to sit flush with the fairing line. Both cost the same. If a light bar is anywhere in your plans, Half Height saves you buying a second fairing later.
