The EXR7742 Roof Rack Crossbar Package is a No-Drilling, heavy-duty crossbar rack system designed specifically for the 2021–present Ford Bronco (2-door and 4-door) equipped with a factory hard top and factory roof rails. Built around two full-length EXR crossbars with integrated structural support feet, the EXR7742 creates a reinforced, high-capacity platform capable of supporting serious overlanding gear and large rooftop tents.

Unlike standard two-crossbar utility racks, the EXR7742 is engineered to work in conjunction with the Bronco’s factory roof rails. Its support feet transfer load from the crossbars directly into the vehicle structure, reinforcing the factory rails and enabling load capacities typically associated with much larger rack systems.

Purpose-Built for High-Capacity Bronco Applications

The EXR7742 is designed for Bronco owners who need maximum load capability without a full-length platform rack. While it uses two crossbars, the system’s integrated support feet provide additional load paths from the crossbars down to the vehicle, significantly increasing stability and weight distribution.

This design allows the EXR7742 to safely support large rooftop tents and heavy overlanding loads while maintaining a clean, modular crossbar layout.

Rooftop Tent & Overland Load Capability

With its reinforced mounting system and structural support feet, the EXR7742 is rated to support rooftop tents up to a 5-person RTT. This rating applies when the system is installed on:

Factory hard top with factory roof rails
Soft top configurations (with the appropriate EXR conversion kit)
No-top configurations (with the appropriate EXR conversion kit)

This makes the EXR7742 a true multi-configuration overland solution rather than a simple utility rack.

Accessory-Ready Compatibility

All EXR7742 variants use standard-size crossbars compatible with the majority of aftermarket roof-mounted accessories, including kayak carriers, cargo baskets, roof boxes, bike mounts, recovery accessories, and heavy-duty awnings.

Select variants also feature EXR’s click-in crossbar profile, allowing seamless integration with EXR click-in accessories while retaining full compatibility with traditional clamp-style mounts.
