The EXR9801 Camper Roof Rack Crossbar Package is a No-Drilling, roof top tent–ready, heavy-duty crossbar rack system designed specifically for Jeep Wrangler JL and JLU and Jeep Gladiator JT vehicles equipped with a factory hard top (2018–present). Built around four full-length EXR crossbars, the EXR9801 creates a rigid, expanded platform for carrying larger rooftop tents, increased overland gear, outdoor equipment, and work-grade cargo in demanding real-world conditions.

Designed for users who need maximum load support and platform coverage, the EXR9801 delivers increased rigidity, enhanced weight distribution, and long-term durability—without drilling or permanent vehicle modification. With four crossbars spanning the roof, this system provides a more complete load platform for rooftop tents and additional overlanding gear, making it ideal for extended travel, heavier builds, and gear-intensive setups.

Purpose-Built for Larger Rooftop Tents & Maximum Loads

The EXR9801 is engineered for applications where higher static capacity and improved load management are critical. Its four-crossbar layout increases overall system rigidity while distributing weight across a greater surface area of the vehicle roof, further reducing stress concentrations compared to three- or two-bar systems.

At the core of the system is EXR’s patented weight distribution design, developed through years of real-world use and testing. The additional crossbar enhances this design by providing greater support for larger rooftop tents and heavier overland loads, making the EXR9801 well suited for extended expeditions and long-term vehicle mounting.

Accessory-Ready Compatibility

All EXR9801 variants use standard-size crossbars compatible with the majority of aftermarket roof-mounted accessories, including kayak carriers, cargo baskets, roof boxes, bike mounts, recovery accessories, and utility gear from leading manufacturers.

Select variants also feature EXR’s click-in crossbar profile, designed to integrate with EXR click-in accessories while retaining full compatibility with traditional clamp-style mounts. This dual-compatibility approach allows the EXR9801 to function as both a heavy-duty tent platform and a modular accessory system.
