The aluminum construction makes this roof rack both very durable as well as lightweight, weighing only 60 lbs.
This is also a very strong roof rack as it has a static weight capacity of 700 lbs, and a dynamic weight capacity of 300 lbs. It also comes with 10 crossbars. A unique thing about this roof rack is that it retains direct load path mounting. That means that the feet of the mounts attach directly to the load bars so that all the weight that you put on top of the roof rack goes straight down to the gutter as opposed to going down to the side plate.
