30,000 Lumens, Nobody Sees It Coming
Cali Raised LED 32" hidden lower bumper light bar kit for the 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma.
✓ No Cutting or Drilling
This is the hidden mount. The bar sits behind the lower grille, so nothing gets cut. It is compatible with all trims, grilles and sensors for the 2016-2023 Tacoma, and the whole install is reversible. If you want the bar visible at the face of the opening, that is the flush mount kit, which does require modification.
A Tacoma LED light bar install splits people two ways. Some want everyone to see it. Others want 30,000 lumens available on demand and the truck looking completely standard the rest of the time. This kit is for the second group.
This Cali Raised LED Tacoma hidden light bar kit puts a 32 inch dual row 5D Optic OSRAM bar behind the lower grille of a 2016-2023 Tacoma. Rated at 300 watts and 30,000 lumens, IP68 sealed, in your choice of spot or combo beam. Vehicle-specific brackets in black powder coat, a wiring harness with a standard switch in every configuration, and an optional blue-backlit OEM-style dash switch in tall or small. Two-year warranty on every component, including the brackets, bar, harness and optional switch.
Hidden or Flush? The Real Difference
Cali Raised makes both of these Tacoma LED light bar kits, and the choice has consequences beyond looks.
| Hidden (this kit) | Flush Mount | |
|---|---|---|
| Position | Behind the grille | At the face of the opening, bar exposed |
| Cutting or Drilling | None | Modification to the grille face |
| Bar Type | Dual row, 30,000 lumens | Single row only on 2016+ Tacoma |
| Trims and Sensors | All compatible | Check aftermarket grilles first |
| Look | Truck stays standard | Bar visible and deliberate |
| Reversible | Yes | No, once the grille is cut |
The hidden route has a real advantage people miss: because it takes a dual row bar, you get more output than the flush kit can fit on this generation, which is restricted to single row. So the discreet option is also the brighter one here.
And mounting behind the grille does not cost you performance. Cali Raised states plainly that the position does not affect the performance of the light.
Spot Beam or Combo Beam?
Both are rated identically for power and output, so this is purely about beam shape.
| Beam | Pattern | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Spot | Focused, concentrated, thrown far ahead | Open desert, fire roads, speed where distance matters most |
| Combo | Focused centre with wider illumination at the edges | Tight trail, technical terrain, anywhere the sides need lighting too |
For most people on mixed terrain, combo is the more useful of the two, because on tight trail the obstacles sit beside you as often as in front. Spot earns its place if you spend your time on open ground at speed, where you need to see far enough ahead to react.
Choosing the Dash Switch
This is the part that needs attention, because getting it wrong means a switch that will not sit in your dash.
Every configuration, including "No Switch", ships with the wiring harness and its standard switch. The optional extra is an OEM-style BUMPER LIGHT BAR dash switch with blue backlighting, which fits a factory dash location and looks like it belongs there.
| Switch | Face Dimensions |
|---|---|
| Small | 1.28 x 0.87 in (32.54 x 22 mm) |
| Tall | 1.54 x 0.83 in (39 x 21 mm) |
Important: those are switch face dimensions, not cutout or mounting-hole dimensions. Select based on the actual switch opening in your dash, using Cali Raised's dashboard comparison image to identify which factory location your Tacoma has.

Why Go Hidden
Three reasons a Tacoma hidden light bar setup wins over a visible one, and none of them are about being shy.
Truck Looks Stock
A hidden light bar announces nothing in a car park, at work, or anywhere you would rather not advertise the build.
Fully Reversible
No cutting means the truck goes back to standard whenever you want. Useful on a lease or before a sale.
Less Exposed
The grille takes the stone chips and debris before the bar does, which matters at bumper height.
About the Rated Figures
Worth repeating Cali Raised's own note, because most brands do not make it: the wattage and lumen values are manufacturer-rated figures, not independently measured results.
That applies across the whole category, not just this bar, and it is why the emitter brand matters more than the headline number. Running premium OSRAM LEDs with 5D optics is what makes a 30,000 lumen rating credible rather than optimistic. OSRAM is a German manufacturer whose automotive LEDs are used as original equipment across the industry, and the 5D lens design spreads the beam wide without giving up distance.
Installation
The install covers mounting the light bar, routing the harness, and making the electrical connections. No cutting, no drilling.
Cali Raised has an official installation video worth watching before you start. The mounting guide covers grille access and wind-deflector removal, which is the part most people have not thought about. There is a separate video for the optional OEM-style dash switch, which covers that switch only and not the standard harness switch included with every kit.
One optional extra to be aware of: the Bolt On Relay Holder shown under verified add-ons is a separate purchase, not part of this kit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does mounting behind the grille reduce the light output?
No. Cali Raised states that the hidden position does not affect the performance of the light. In fact on a 2016-2023 Tacoma the hidden kit is the brighter option, because it takes a dual row bar while the flush mount on this generation is restricted to single row. So you get the discreet install and more output.
Which dash switch do I need, tall or small?
It depends on the factory switch opening in your dash. Small has a face of 1.28 x 0.87 in, tall is 1.54 x 0.83 in. Note those are face dimensions, not cutout dimensions, so check Cali Raised's dashboard comparison image to identify your location. Not sure? Send us a photo of your dash at 844-200-3979 and we will confirm before you order.
If I choose "No Switch", do I get any switch at all?
Yes. Every configuration includes the wiring harness with its standard switch, including the No Switch option. What "No Switch" leaves out is only the optional OEM-style dash switch, which is the blue-backlit one that fits a factory dash location. The bar is fully operable either way.
Spot or combo beam?
Both are rated identically for power and output, so it is purely beam shape. Spot is focused and thrown far ahead, which suits open ground at speed. Combo combines a focused centre with wider illumination at the edges, which suits tight and technical trail where obstacles sit beside you. For mixed terrain, combo is usually the more useful of the two.
Will it fit my trim and grille?
Yes. Unlike the flush kit, the hidden mount is compatible with all trims, grilles and sensors for the listed 2016-2023 Tacoma application, with no cutting or drilling. That is one of the main practical advantages of going hidden. Call us at 844-200-3979 if you want it confirmed against your specific truck before ordering.
