Cali Raised LED Overland Bed Rack for the 2022+ Toyota Tundra CrewMax.
Two Things to Check
- You need a bed rail system. The rack mounts to a factory or aftermarket bed rail system. Without one, it has nothing to bolt to.
- CrewMax only, 2022 and newer. Fitment is not guaranteed on 2007-2021 Tundras.

Most 2022 Tundra accessories solve a small problem. This one solves a big one. The 3rd Gen Tundra is a lot of truck, and a bed that size is only useful if you can stack things in it. A rooftop tent takes the whole bed. Add recovery boards, fuel cans and an awning and you are out of room before the camping gear goes in.
This Cali Raised LED Tundra bed rack adds a second level. It is built from 80% aluminum with 20% steel where strength matters, weighs about 65 lbs, and carries a static capacity tested to 1,500 lbs with 750 lbs recommended, and 400 lbs dynamic. Three heights, both CrewMax bed lengths, and a modular T-slot system that takes RotopaX, MAXTRAX, awnings, lights and tools. Bolt-on with no drilling. Designed and manufactured in the USA. Two-year Cali Raised LED warranty.
The Numbers, and What They Mean
Cali Raised publishes real figures for this rack rather than vague reassurance, so it is worth understanding what each one covers.
| Rating | Figure | What It Covers |
|---|---|---|
| Static, tested | 1,500 lbs | What the rack was tested to while parked |
| Static, recommended | 750 lbs | The sensible working limit while parked. Tent plus occupants |
| Dynamic, recommended | 400 lbs | What you can carry while driving |
The one that matters day to day is 400 lbs dynamic: that is your tent plus everything else on the rack while the truck is moving. The 750 lb recommended static figure is the one that counts when you are asleep in the tent, and it comfortably covers a hardshell tent and two adults.
The 1,500 lb tested figure is a laboratory number, not a target. Work to the recommended figures.
Low, Mid or Tall?
| Height | Name | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| 7" | Low Profile | Keeping the overall profile down. Least drag, best garage clearance |
| 10" | Mid | Rooftop tents. Keeps the tent closer to the cab roofline |
| 17.5" | Tall | Most bed access and storage underneath, plus room for side accessories |
Cali Raised's own guidance is worth following here. Mid at 10 inches is the rooftop tent choice, because it keeps the tent near the cab roofline rather than perched well above it, which helps both the look and the aerodynamics.
Tall at 17.5 inches is the one if you want to genuinely use the bed underneath: drawers, a fridge slide, bikes, or a dog crate. It also gives the most room for side-mounted accessories.
Low Profile at 7 inches suits a build where the bed stays mostly empty and you want the lowest possible profile.
The T-Slot System
A bed rack is only as good as what you can hang off it, and the modular T-slot system is what keeps this one useful as the build changes.
Mount Anywhere
Hardware slides into the channel wherever you need it, instead of being limited to a few fixed holes.
Takes the Full Load-Out
Rooftop tents, RotopaX, MAXTRAX, ActionTrax, recovery boards, awnings, lighting, tools and storage boxes.
Reconfigures in Minutes
Move things as your setup evolves rather than living with the layout you picked on day one.
Light for a Full-Size Truck Rack
Sixty-five pounds is modest for a tundra bed rack spanning the full bed, and the mixed construction is why.
- 80% aluminum through the bulk of the structure, which is where the weight saving comes from.
- 20% steel where strength matters most, placed at the load-bearing points rather than used throughout.
- Black semi-gloss mini texture powder coat for corrosion resistance, the same finish Cali Raised runs across their range.
Against a full steel bed rack, the weight saving goes straight back into payload for the tent, the gear and the people.
Installation
Bolt-on, with no drilling or cutting when installed with the required bed rail system. All mounting hardware is included and instructions are available.
- Difficulty: easy to moderate.
- Time: approximately 1 to 2 hours with basic hand tools.
- Mounting: to the factory or aftermarket bed rail system.
That bed rail requirement is the thing to confirm before ordering. The rack bolts to the rail system, so if your Tundra does not have one, that comes first. Call us at 844-200-3979 and we will check what your truck has.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a bed rail system?
Yes. The rack mounts to a factory or aftermarket bed rail system, and without one it has nothing to bolt to. With the rail system in place, no drilling or cutting is needed. Call us at 844-200-3979 with your trim and we will confirm whether your Tundra already has what it needs.
Which height should I choose for a rooftop tent?
Mid, at 10 inches. That is Cali Raised's own recommendation, because it keeps the tent closer to the cab roofline rather than perched well above it, which helps both the look and the aerodynamics. Go tall at 17.5 inches instead if you want to run drawers, a fridge slide or bikes underneath the platform as well.
How much weight can it carry?
400 lbs dynamic is the figure that matters while driving, covering your tent plus everything else on the rack. 750 lbs static recommended is the parked figure, which comfortably covers a hardshell tent and two adults sleeping in it. The 1,500 lb tested static figure is a laboratory number rather than a target, so work to the recommended figures.
Will it fit my bed length?
Yes, if it is a CrewMax. One fitment covers both the 5.5 foot and 6.5 foot CrewMax beds, so there is no bed length to select. What you do need to confirm is that it is a 2022 or newer CrewMax, since fitment is not guaranteed on 2007-2021 Tundras or on other cab configurations.
What can I mount on the T-slots?
Rooftop tents, RotopaX, MAXTRAX, ActionTrax, recovery board mounts, awning brackets, lighting, tools and storage boxes. Because hardware slides anywhere along the channel rather than fixing to preset holes, you can position things where they suit your layout and move them later. Accessories are sold separately unless bundled.
