Dead Space, Turned Into Storage
Cali Raised LED T4R Exterior Window MOLLE Panel for the 2010-2024 Toyota 4Runner.
Three Things to Check Before Ordering
- You need a roof rack. The panel attaches to a Cali Raised or Prinsu roof rack. It does not mount to the vehicle on its own.
- Not compatible with the Prinsu Pro rack. Standard Prinsu is fine. The Pro is not.
- 25 lb limit per panel. Do not exceed it.
Call us at 844-200-3979 and we will confirm your rack before you order.
Of all the 4Runner accessories you can bolt on, this one claims the last unused real estate: the flanks above the rear windows. Everything else gets claimed eventually: the roof, the bed area, the rear door, the drawers. That strip down each side just sits there.
This Cali Raised LED 4Runner MOLLE panel turns it into mounting surface. It is CNC laser-cut and pressed from .125 inch 5052 aluminum and 10 GA steel, powder-coated in black semi-gloss mini texture, and shaped to follow the line of your 4Runner's window rather than hanging off it as a flat slab. It attaches to your roof rack, takes the full MOLLE accessory ecosystem, and comes pre-drilled for RotopaX containers. Order a single panel or both sides. Engineered and manufactured in the USA. Two-year Cali Raised LED warranty.
What You Need Already Fitted
Unlike most MOLLE panel designs, this one is not a standalone part. Settle this first, because it has nothing to attach to without a rack.
| Roof Rack | Compatible? |
|---|---|
| Cali Raised roof rack | Yes |
| Prinsu roof rack (standard) | Yes |
| Prinsu Pro rack | No |
| No roof rack | Not possible, the panel mounts to the rack |
The Prinsu Pro exclusion is the one that catches people, because a Pro owner reasonably assumes a Prinsu-compatible panel covers them. It does not. Cali Raised states this plainly and so do we.
If you are unsure which Prinsu you have, call us at 844-200-3979 or send a photo and we will tell you before you order rather than after.
What Goes on It
MOLLE Accessories
The whole MOLLE ecosystem: pouches, tool rolls, med kits, straps, bottle holders. Mature, cheap and everywhere.
RotopaX Containers
Pre-drilled mounting holes mean fuel or water containers bolt straight on without improvising a bracket.
The Awkward Stuff
Items you want reachable from the ground rather than buried in the back or strapped to the roof.
The practical appeal of a molle panel for truck or SUV use is that it keeps frequently-needed gear outside the cabin and off the roof: things you grab at a trail stop without opening the back or climbing up. Recovery straps, a med kit, gloves, a tool roll.
About the 25 lb Limit
Cali Raised publishes a clear limit: do not add more than 25 lbs per panel. Worth respecting rather than testing.
For context, that comfortably covers a loaded MOLLE pouch set, a med kit, a tool roll and a RotopaX of water or fuel. A 1 gallon RotopaX of water is around 8 lbs filled, so you have room for a couple of containers plus pouches, but not much beyond that.
The reason the limit exists is leverage. The panel hangs off the side of the rack, so weight out there loads the rack mount harder than the same weight sitting flat on the tray. Keep it sensible and it stays where it should.
Built for the Side of a Vehicle
A panel bolted to the outside of a 4Runner lives in road spray, stone chips and whatever the trail throws sideways, so the construction matters.
- .125 inch 5052 aluminum for the panel body. 5052 is the corrosion-resistant marine-grade alloy, which is the right pick for an exterior part that gets wet constantly.
- 10 GA steel where the structural load goes, so the mounting points are not relying on aluminum alone.
- CNC laser-cut and pressed, which is where the shaping comes from. Pressing adds rigidity through form rather than through more material.
- Black semi-gloss mini texture powder coat, the same finish Cali Raised runs across their range, so it matches the rest of the build.
The shaping is the part you notice. The panel follows the line of the 4Runner's window rather than sitting as a flat rectangle bolted to the side, which is why it reads as part of the vehicle rather than something strapped on.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a roof rack for this?
Yes. The panel attaches to a Cali Raised roof rack or a standard Prinsu roof rack and does not mount to the vehicle on its own. If you do not have one of those fitted, that comes first. Call us at 844-200-3979 and we will sort out which rack suits your 4Runner alongside the panel.
I have a Prinsu Pro. Will it fit?
No. This panel does not work with the Prinsu Pro rack, even though it is compatible with the standard Prinsu. That trips people up, because a Pro owner reasonably assumes Prinsu compatibility covers them. If you are not certain which Prinsu you have, send us a photo at 844-200-3979 and we will confirm before you order.
How much can I actually hang on it?
25 lbs per panel, and that is a limit rather than a target. For context, a 1 gallon RotopaX of water is around 8 lbs filled, so you have room for a couple of containers plus pouches, but not much more. The limit exists because the panel hangs off the side, so weight out there loads the rack mount harder than the same weight lying flat on the tray.
Should I get one panel or both?
Either is available. One side suits most builds, usually the side you work from at camp, and keeps weight and width down. Both sides doubles your mounting surface and looks symmetrical, which matters to some people. If an awning lives on one side of your rack, put the panel on the other.
Can I mount RotopaX on it?
Yes, the panel comes with pre-drilled mounting holes for RotopaX containers, so there is no bracket to improvise or holes to drill yourself. Keep the 25 lb panel limit in mind when deciding how many containers and what else goes alongside them, particularly if they are carrying fuel or water rather than empty.
