The Tacoma is the flexible one here: it houses both the tall and the small switch, so either works. On the 4Runner and Tundra, the small switch is the one that fits.
One thing to know before you start: connecting the wiring harness to the OEM switch requires modification. It is not a plug-and-play swap. If you are not comfortable with that part, factor in an install shop, or run the bar on the supplied harness without the OEM switch.
White or Amber
The 42 inch slim bar comes in either, and the choice is about conditions rather than looks.
White is the default and the brighter option. It throws further and shows colour and detail properly, which is what you want on open trail at speed.
Amber cuts through dust, fog and falling snow far better. Shorter wavelengths scatter off airborne particles and bounce light straight back at you, which is why white light turns a dust cloud into a wall. If you spend time in desert dust or regularly drive in fog, amber earns its place.

Is the install plug and play?
The brackets are. They bolt to the Prinsu cut-out with the supplied hardware and need no modification to the rack. The wiring is where it gets involved: connecting the harness to an OEM switch requires modification, so it is not a straight plug-in. Running the bar on the supplied harness without the OEM switch is the simpler route.
Should I choose white or amber?
White is brighter, throws further and shows detail better, which suits open trail at speed.
