A white light bar is brilliant on a clear night. In dust, fog, rain or snow, it is a different story. All that white light bounces straight back off the particles in the air and you end up staring into a glowing wall. Amber cuts through it far better, which is why so many overlanders run both.
This kit gives you both in one bar, mounted properly on your Sherpa roof rack. You get the Cali Raised LED Dual Function light bar, with separate amber and white LEDs, plus custom laser-cut brackets built to hold it on a Sherpa rack. The brackets are engineered for a close fit to keep vibration and wind noise down, and they are powder coated in a black semi-gloss mini texture to fight corrosion. Installation needs no modification or drilling, and you can order it with a wiring harness and switch or without, if you would rather wire it yourself.

On a clear night, white light shows you the most detail the furthest down the trail.

How to Wire a Dual Function Light Bar
If you are wiring it yourself, there are two ways to do it, depending on how you want the bar to work. Either way, the bar has three wires:

Option 1: One Harness, All Lights Together
Use this if you want the whole bar on or off at once, with no separate control.
- Remove the plug from the harness.
- Connect the black wire on the bar to the black wire on the harness.
- Join the green and white wires on the bar and connect them to the red wire on the harness.
Option 2: Two Harnesses, Amber and White Independently
Use this if you want to run amber only, white only, or both at the same time.
- Remove the DT plugs from the end of both harnesses. They are not needed.
- Expose the wires. Between the two harnesses you will have two red wires and two black wires.
- Join both black wires and connect them to the black wire on the bar.
- Connect one red to the white wire and the other red to the green wire.
✓ Our Recommendation
Go with two harnesses. Being able to drop from white to amber the moment the dust kicks up is the whole point of a dual function bar. Make sure every connection is properly sealed against water, and if you are not confident with 12V wiring, an auto electrician can do it quickly.

Will this fit my Sherpa roof rack?
It is made for Sherpa roof racks, but not Sport models. Send us your rack model and we will confirm before it ships.
Can I run the amber and white lights separately?
Yes, with two harnesses. One runs the white LEDs and one runs the amber, so you can use either or both. With one harness, the whole bar comes on together.
Do I need to drill my rack?
No. The brackets bolt on with the included hardware and need no drilling or modification.
Is the wiring harness included?
Only if you choose it. Pick a harness with a Tall, Small or Square Dual Function Switch, or the no-harness option if you are wiring it yourself.
What do the three wires on the bar do?
Black is ground, white powers the white LEDs and green powers the amber LEDs. Join white and green for all-on, or power them separately for independent control.
